Exclusive advisor to Mutua Madrileña on the acquisition of Alantra Asset Management

AZ Capital has advised Mutua Madrileña on the acquisition of a 20% stake in Alantra Asset Management and the creation of a €100 MM investment pool to be invested in Alantra’s own products (GP commitments) in which Mutua will contribute €50 MM.

Alantra Asset Management, the alternative asset management division of the Alantra Group, offers its clients access to a wide range of investment strategies (direct investments, funds of funds, co-investments and secondaries) in six alternative asset classes (private equity, active funds, private debt, infrastructure, real estate and venture capital).

The transaction allows Mutua to expand its presence in alternative asset management, responding to Mutua's 2018-2020 Strategic Plan, which aims to diversify its investments and grow its wealth management business.
