AZ Capital has advised Repsol on the negotiations with the Argentinean Government on the compensation agreement “Convenio de Solución Amigable y Avenimiento de Expropiación” over the expropriation of YPF.
The agreement reached between the Republic of Argentina and Repsol recognized the company’s right to receive $5Bn as a compensation for the expropriation of 51% of the shares of YPF and stipulated guarantees for effective payment as well as the termination of all judicial and arbitration proceedings and the reciprocal waiver of future claims.

AZ Capital ha asesorado a Repsol en la negociación del acuerdo sobre YPF “Convenio de Solución Amigable y Avenimiento de Expropiación” con el Gobierno de la República de Argentina.
El acuerdo alcanzado por la República Argentina y Repsol ha reconocido el derecho de la compañía a percibir $5.000 MM como compensación a la expropiación del 51% de las acciones de YPF y las garantías para su pago efectivo, así como el desistimiento recíproco de las acciones judiciales y arbitrales interpuestas y la renuncia a nuevas reclamaciones.
